Course Catalog Description:
This course focuses on the care of adult patients experiencing common and less complex acute health
problems. Learners are challenged to use critical thinking skills guided by established professional
standards, guidelines, competencies, and best practices. Clinical experiences provide learners the
opportunity to apply psychomotor skills, psychosocial concepts, communication, legal and ethical
responsibilities, and the nursing process to provide safe, quality, patient-centered nursing care for adult
patients.

Course Requirements:
1. Achieve a minimum cumulative course grade of 74%.
2. Achieve a minimum benchmark score of 63.3% (equivalent to a Level 2) on the ATI RN Fundamentals
Practice Assessments A and B.
3. Achieve a Level 2 or higher on the ATI RN Fundamentals Proctored Assessment.
4. Complete the assigned two (2) PassPoint quizzes with a mastery level of four (4) on each quiz.
5. Achieve a score of 90% or higher on the dosage calculation test.
6. Achieve a “Pass” on each written assignment.
7. Achieve a minimum of a ‘satisfactory’ (‘S’) on the clinical evaluation.
8. Achieve a “Pass” on each of the Competency Performance Examinations (CPEs).
9. Achieve a “Pass” on all weekly discussions.
