, I, a Business Analyst at KFC is going to write below report to Mr. Roger Eaton the CEO of KFC
to overview the external and internal factors that are impacting of KFC restaurant.
Introduction
KFC has been famous as Kentucky Fried chicken, it was established by Harland Sanders in the
region of Corbin, Kentucky. The person named Sanders was born on a small farm which is
situated in Indiana, back in 1890. Harland liked to cook new recipes. Therefore, he tried to make
the new dish by mixing the eleven herbs and spices with the wheat flour, thus he was successful
in introducing the new recipe for cooking the chicken. While it was back in 1930 he was
becoming more famous, the Governor of the state honored the Harland with the name as
Kentucky colonel. In the second stage, he developed the new method of developing and spicing
the pressure, as he has opened the new restaurant of 142 seats along with the motel and the gas
station (Suter, 2018). It was again back in 1950, Harland decided to close his restaurant because
he was receiving fewer customers and also he invested in the first franchise during 1952 along
with the recipe of 105 USD with the hidden recipe (PEST, 2019). He adopted a new strategy to
sell the five percent per chicken for the copyright. It was during the year 1964, a new investor
has purchased the Kentucky fried chicken and he finalized the deal with the Harland, to perform
the duties as Ambassador for providing the suggestions to them. The company made progress in
1971 as KFC joined with Connecticut, more specifically in the food, and in 1986, KFC had a big
opportunity that PEPSICO had bought KFC at the price for $ 840 million (PEST, 2019). They
had planned to separate the KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco bell under the umbrella of Tricon Global
Restaurant for the earning of revenue. From that time onwards, the KFC started to progress and
become one of the well-known brands.
