Why is there the analytical problem-solving model?
To face all the challenges that used to happen in the workplace.
To ensure that everyone understands the approach to be used.
It encourages collaborative working.
Facilitate decision-making process.
Analytic Problem-Solving Model steps:
1. Define the Problem
2. Determine the Root Cause(s) of the Problem
3. Develop Alternative Solutions
4. Select a Solution
5. Implement the Solution
6. Evaluate the Outcome
1-Define the problem:
This is the first step from solving the problem model that searches deep into the problem,
diagnosing its context, background, and symptoms.
e.g., one of the sales managers at orange noticed the low sales of his department for the last three
consecutive months, so he was started gathering all data and held an urgent meeting to discuss
this issue with a sales representative and marketing department to listen to all of them, after that
he asked the customers why they have canceled the lines. He promoted the new offers for
another customer, and he has collected all answers.
In the previous example, the sales manager has used three methods to find the problem as below:
Brainstorming.
Meeting.
Questionnaires.
