NURSING 3345 HESI CAPSTONE REVIEW
MO is an 81 years old african American female who live alone in Denton, Texas. She was born
in Nigeria, Africa, the youngest of 10 children as was very loved by her siblings. She started
school at the age of five and graduated from form high school at the age of 18. She was very full
of self because she use to be very beautiful as a teenager. Her father was a pastor so they she and
her siblings never missed church on Sundays. Eventhough she went to church on Sunday, she
only did to please her parents. As she graduated from high school, she got married to her high
school sweetheart. Two years after married, she went back to school and obtained a bachelors
degree in nursing from Delta state universityin Nigeria. With her degree in nursing she got a job
with the lagos state reginal hospital in Nigeria. She work as a nurse for 33 years before going on
retirement. During the fisrt 10 years of marriage, she had three kids two boys and a girl.
Unfortunate she lost her husband to the Nigeria beyafra war during their tenth year of marriage.
She never remarried until date. She also told me that even though her husband died when their
first son was only nine years old, both her family and her husbands family took great care of her.
She said she was very loved by all of her friends and family even until today, her nieces and
nephews still love her and cherish her just same way her sisters and brothers loved her. She said
her only regret is that she her acceptance of Jesus Christ was only until she was about 50years
old.

Goal and benefits of Life Review
Life review is a personal process by which a person evaluates his or her life as it nears its end.
[BUT63] life review event usually occur when a person is close to death either by age or
terminal sickness. Some people tend to use life review as an opportunity to get things right
before they die, others do not even think about it even in their deign bed they are still holding on
to hope and denying to face the reality of life. However, there is a goal to life review. According
to [BUT63] the goal of life review include the resolution of past conflicts and issues, atonement
for past acts or inaction, and reconciliation with family members and friends. reconciling and
making peace with friends and loved once is a healthy style of leaving in old age and should be
encouraged among older adults.
Benefits of life review
Improve self-esteem
Some people tend to forget the good things the did when they where growing up. Live review
help people to remember the kind of live they have live, the good things they did and their
achievement. An old persons self esteem will improve when the remember that they once were
great.
Helps person to accept end of life.
Some times, it may be very hard for a person to accept end of life, so using a life review event
can help them reflect on how they have live their live, and see where they went wrong and try to
make correction where ever applicable. This aslo allow the person on life review to then make up
their mind to accept end of life.
