I mean, I've got to do something. Yes, you will only be taking this dose of ibuprofen for your back pain until it is healed, and then will stop taking it. Makes sense. Its important to try and reduce your back pain with not just this medication but with non- pharmacological therapies for lower back pain such as heat or ice and certain stretches and physical therapies. It is just as much a treatment as medicine, if you think about it. Exactly, there are other things you can do to help this healing process other then with the medication but the ibuprofen will help you accomplish this by reducing your pain. Its important you avoid any prescription medication that is not prescribed to you in the future for safety reasons. I mean, I know you're not supposed to . . . but it did work a lot better than the ibuprofen. Yes, the opioid is much stronger but it was prescribed with the intent of following a surgery and prescribed specifically for your friend based on their health history, current medications, and multiple other factors, Okay, okay. I understand. Really. I knew it wasn't a good idea . . . I just couldn't find anything that worked. This time will be better. I understand you were in pain and trying to reduce it in any way possible but im glad you came to me today so we could better address this issue and more safely and effectively manage your pain.
