Scenario Analysis Questions*
EBP What assessment needs did you identify for Sara Lin?
Ms. Lin needs to be more mobile to decrease the risk of a blood clot and continue monitoring
her pain level as it may increase after surgery is performed.
PCC Discuss additional nonpharmacologic actions that would be appropriate for managing Sara Lin’s
pain.
Ms. Lin can listen to music or watch tv to keep her mind off the pain or use guided imagery to
distract herself from the pain.
