ENG2611 ASSIGNMENT 03 2021.Question 2 The collaboration of schools and homes is of the utmost importance to both enhance both reading and writing literacies in basic education. This is a method that has been tried and tested that when children are assisted at home they tend to do better than the other students which are not this is as a reason of students understanding the value of education not just being something that happens at school but also value in life in general (Home and school). The collaboration of home and school is of the utmost importance as it assists early child hood development. Firstly the parents should assist with the students homework at all times, when students are given writing to be done at home parents should assist this endures that the student is not only focussed at school but also at home, this also initiates a sort of responsibility in the child itself as they then will understand the value of studying since the children see value and importance in what the parents has to say than if a parent is assisting the student with homework than value is attached to learning. The downside is that in order for parents to put food on the table, for them to be able to afford to send children to school and to generally afford them the luxuries they have to work and working means coming home late sometimes and not being able to assist with school work. Secondly when schools and homes collaborate in order to enhance both reading and writing literacies it is of the utmost importance as this assist the bride in the technology gap that might be present if for instance the school has a challenge with computers a studying facilities the student is easily afforded with the opportunities that one would not get at school. The down fall/challenge to this would be if the child is coming from a disadvantage background village that would for instance not have electricity than it becomes to access these resources even if someone has the financial means. Thirdly it has been researched that households that actually have a stay at home mother that assists a child pre and post them going to school tend to have better results. This maybe as a result that the child gets better attention at home as a result of one on one interaction with the parent also does very much assist in the accelerative learning of basic education students. Further is found that students with the assistance of home based and school assistance tend to do well even at sports. This is true as the students tend to want to push themselves as a result of wanting to impress their parents on the playing field, they want to excel to get recognition as this is a survival instinct of humans.
