Amended Assessment: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures enacted
to slow its spread, some assessments have been amended to ensure that all adhere to the
requirements of social distancing. As such, assessments that previously required collaboration
or the physical presence of students either in an interview setting or engagement with an
individual or community have been amended. Further to this, relevant exams have been
substituted with assessments that the student could complete in their own time.

as possible.

Demonstrate your understanding of ALL the following concepts by writing a concise
paragraph that describes a real-world example within a South African context. Note: Marks
will be deducted for descriptions that are too long, not relevant to the SA context, or fail to
capture the meaning of the concept adequately.
