The test consists of two sections: 100 Multiple Choice Questions to be completed in 70 minutes and 2 Free Response Questions to be completed in 50 minutes. The Multiple Choice Section accounts for two-thirds of the overall score and the Free Response Questions account for one-third of the overall score. College Board Units: 1. Scientific Foundations of Psychology 2. Biological Bases of Behavior 3. Sensation and Perception 4. Learning 5. Cognitive Psychology 6. Developmental Psychology 7. Motivation, Emotion, and Personality 8. Clinical Psychology 9. Social Psychology Exam Weighting: 10-14% 8-10% 6-8% 7-9% 13-17% 7-9% 11-15% 12-16% 8-10% This study source was downloaded by from CourseH on :18:53 GMT -06:00 AP Psychology @ Livingston High School General Student Expectations: As seniors in high school taking a collegiate level course, students taking AP Psychology are expected to: ● Complete assigned readings from their texts and other homework assignments ● Take notes inside and outside of the classroom ● Understand relevant terms from each unit and ask questions for clarification ● Utilize Google Classroom and Schoology both inside and outside of class ● Prepare independently and as a group for quizzes and tests ● Participate actively in our class discussions ● Communicate efficiently and effectively with their teacher and fellow classmates ● Work hard Grading Policy: Grades will be earned through a point system. Semester grades will be determined primarily by formal assessments such as tests, projects, and quizzes. Late submissions will receive point deductions. Please be sure to submit assignments, whether in person or via Google Classroom on time. Under no circumstances may semester or final grades be rounded up. Please refrain from asking. Below is a breakdown of potential assignments: ● Unit Exams — 100 points ● Additional Assignments — 50 points or fewer Student-Led Unit Review Sessions: Following every unit (except Units 0 and 10), students will review concepts/terms during the class period prior to taking their test. This will be completed through Student-Led Unit Review Sessions, where groups of students will plan a 30 minute review session for their classmates. Students are encouraged to think outside of the box for this, and to start preparing at least a week before their scheduled review day. Students must also submit a lesson plan at least 3 days prior to their scheduled review session. Within this lesson plan, students should consider planning multiple lectures, activities, etc. to effectively prepare their classmates for unit tests. Each group will be graded on the accuracy and clarity of their content, presentation skills, and creativity as seen in the rubric. Students will select their group members and topics within the first week of school. You will only host a review session once within the school year.
