Harlem Renaissance
Art is described as any creative thing that is visible and appeal to the audience. Art
may include poems, drawing art, songs, and carvings. It’s described as a way of expressing
what they feel or their opinion in the community. Humans generally interact to order to make
a complete social cycle. The interaction mainly includes the rich and the poor and also
different races. Due to the interaction different outcomes such as slavery whereby the white
people ruled and enslaved the black people. It elaborates on the role of freedom and how art
promoted described the freedom and oppression of the black community. This is mainly
depicted by a lack of identity for the black community.
Slavery has been a long and painful history that has been associated with the black
community. In the early 20th century the black community mainly tried to migrate from the
master's farms to look for an opportunity to earn a decent living and thrive in freedom. This
was after the abolishment of the slave trade. According to experts slave trade was not
abolished completely. Jones (1) underscores that the poem of Harlem reflected Renaissance
reflected on the diversity of all races and forms and subjects. This includes elaborating the
importance of freedom for all.
