Part 1
The following article located at
http://www.rrmediagroup.com/Features/FeaturesDetails/FID/276 gives the reader some insight
on the difficulties of a future mandate from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to
have radio systems change over to 6.25 kilohertz bandwidth hardware. The article was written
for managers and system planners of large radio systems. One key statement that led to this
conclusion was “end user participation and education was a large theme throughout the
discussion” [Wen11]. The article was not technically in-depth. It focused on management related
issues with new radio systems.
Part 2
The American Military University website is very user friendly. Finding information
about the various degree programs was straight forward. They are organized in a manner that
makes sense to a potential transfer student. For example, if a student was interested in a degree
involving information technology they can find the required information in the Science,
Technology, Engineering & Math school section. One item that I would revise is the military
training academic credit information page located at
http://www.apus.edu/TransferCredit/accepted/Undergraduate/military.htm. It states that “Military
credit will be evaluated after the academic documents have been reviewed.” I think it would be
more beneficial to both current and former military students if they had a search tool like the one
located at http://www.apus.edu/TransferCredit/equivalents/TED/disclaimer.htm it would give
potential students an upfront estimate of how many credits they could receive up front. The
