Overview - Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
At the heart of this modu le is the Truth in
Negotiations Act, which you will usually hear
referred to as "TINA ."
TINA is a public law enacted in 1962 for the
purpose of providing full and fa ir disclosure by
contractors in the conduct of negotiations w ith t he
government. TINA requires :
1. Contractors and subcontractors submit
certified cost or pri cing data fo r negotiated
TINA
procurements over $750,000
2 . Downward adjustment to the contract price, n NA ts '1 -pw.blte Law
includ ing profit or fee, where it is det ermined
that the contract price was increased (P.L. ~T-653) whteh ts
