It moistens, warms and filters the air for our body to breath better via nostrils.
2. Why is the trachea reinforced with cartilaginous rings?
When we swallow the food these rings allow the cartilage to expand esophagus so the food
goes in right passageway. It help provide structure.
3. Describe the path a molecule of oxygen takes to get to body tissue, starting with the nares.
Start with nasal cavity, then pharynx and goes to trachea to bronchi and bronchioles , alveoli,
where exchange of the oxygenated carboondioxide happens then reaches. arota, artery and
ends up with capillaries.
4. What is asthma?
Asthma causes problem in lungs by making them inflame. Makes breathing for a person
difficult due to swelling in airway. Also produce thick mucus makes breathing difficulty.
