Interdisciplinary Plan Proposal
This proposal focuses on improving the teamwork situation. The elimination of a
reasonable number of employees from Larkin Community Health Center's workforce threatens
interdisciplinary collaboration by harming communication. The integration of support systems
and the enhancement of communication would guarantee desirable service delivery outcomes.
Objective
The integration of the Interactional Communication Model will improve the institution's nursing
team. The plan will review the community center's communication environment and ensure that
practitioners interact as individuals rather than groups. Improved communication will enhance
service delivery processes. Treatment outcomes are set to improve, and the pool of caregivers
will accomplish improved collaboration with better treatment plans. The improved results will be
realized as clinical errors reduce.
Questions and Predictions
1. What aspects of the existing collaborative environment are faulty?
Collaboration is defined across disciplines rather than individuals. Team members will be
empowered to interact with other professionals in an individual capacity.
2. What will change with the implementation of the Interactional Communication Model?
Practitioners will communicate better. They will be empowered to associate as equals. Nurses
and physicians, among other practitioners, will associate collaboratively other than at the
supervisor-subordinate level.
3. How will the plan contribute to reduced clinical errors?
