Dr. Scott Lamprecht, APRN, FNP-BC, RN, is Chief Clinical Officer for Complete Medical Consultants and a faculty member at Chamberlain University. Scott has been teaching for over 12 years and completed his Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) 2009 with a Practice Based Dissertation titled Sudden Cardiac Arrest Screening in Adolescent Athletes. Additionally he is an active member of both the Nevada State Emergency Cardiovascular Care Committee and former Chairman of the American Heart Association’s Southern Nevada Area Regional Faculty Workgroup. Scott is a Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Regional Faculty and Instructor with a 25 year background in Critical Care including ER/EMS, ICU/CCU, Trauma, and Open-Heart Surgery. He completed his FNP in 2012 and opened an independent no-insurance required low income clinic. Scott began his research as a First Degree Black Belt and Martial Arts Instructor with the American Taekwondo Association. Course Information Course Number: NR533 Course Title: Financial Management in Healthcare Organizations Course Credits: 3 Course Prerequisites: Identify all course pre-requisites Course Description The focus of this course is on developing healthcare financial knowledge and skills needed at the nurse manager and nurse executive levels. Areas of content include budget development and management, revenue and reimbursement, cost containment, and marketing. The emphasis is on application of these concepts guided by holistic care principles within a person-centered care context in individual practice settings.
