sociology cannot be discussed without discussing the society or environment the individual finds
him/herself in. As “it is the systematic study of society and social interactions” (Introduction to Sociology
– 1st Canadian Edition pag.13, para 1). Buying into Karl Marx’s perspective, I leave in a society where
people in respect to the demands of the society. Irrespective of one’s personal norms or cultural beliefs.
An individual grows up to suit the conditions of the society. For example, people who move from the
village where there is no much greed to find money and food been easy to have access to, to the city
where there is this level of money making and capitalism. These people in their very early times find it
difficult to stay some people even run back to the villages. Those who decide to stay adjust to the
demands of the society and they are shaped in response to hoe the society wants them to be. These
people change drastically in behavior and other societal factors such as their way of speaking.
As it is known to us all that rural areas are confronted with issues of finances and modern lifestyle such
as; the use electronic gadgets. “The source of historical change and transition between different
historical types of society was class struggle”( Introduction to sociology , William Little, Salley Vyain &
ethal page 23,para 2).This is still existent as far as capitalism is concerned and effects on social relations.
People from urban arrears come to the rural areas to seek shelter and better livelihood but the expense
of working for some one who tends to be the factory owner.
This is what Karl Marx term capitalism. “Yet as he pointed out, it was the worker’s labour that actually
produces wealth” ”( Introduction to sociology , William Little, Salley Vyain & ethal page 23,para 3). But
they are not paid enough salaries. Capitalism affects ,my view of the world. Because what I know every
time is; to work day-in day-out I other not to become poor. We do everything possible not to be poor.
This termed as “class struggle” according to karl Marx
(Introduction to sociology, 1st Canadian Edition, William Little, Salley Vyain & ethal page23,para 4).
