change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior”. Karl Marx is a German
philosopher and sociologist who studied and wrote about sociology, philosophy, economics and politics.
He is a very important personality in sociology and one of the founding fathers of sociology. CARL MARX
CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIOLOGY Karl Marx begun his studies on sociology In the 19th century. His studies
was between two different social classes of people, the proletariat and bourgeoisie.
The proletariat are referred to the lower-class of people in the society, who are the workers and the
bourgeoisie are those in the upper classes, the managers, bosses, CEOs and rulers. He believes that, the
proletariat perform the labor and the bourgeoisie enjoy the profit. This system became known as
Marxism. “There are several fundamental questions that this theory seeks to address. First, how is
money used to control the working class? Second, how are social classes defined by type of work? Third,
what is the relation between workers, money, the government and society? Finally, how does the
economy influence social inequality?” (Muscato, 2021). This theory formed the conflict theory “which
stated that capitalists societies were built on conflicts between workers and rulers”. (Muscato, 2021).
WHAT I MAKE FROM KARL’S THEORY The theory of Karl Marx is a reality. It is true that workers labor for
bosses and CEOs to enjoy the profits. I am a worker and I understand clearly every bit of this theory. The
question is, how do we solve this problem? Is there any best way to go about this? I wish there is a best
way to solve this problem. Money actually controls the working class. Bosses sleep for money to work
for them through their workers, of which some are not even treated rightly. Its either we find solutions
or everyone strives to be bosses in the few years to come.
