of analysis, the “dialectical” model, which regards every social system as having within it immanent
forces that give rise to “contradictions” (disequilibria) that can be resolved only by a new social system.”
(Feuer & McLellan, n.d.). To prove this model, Marx have studied and wrote many books and articles
that related to philosophy, economy, and politics. Among his works, the one that help Karl Marx become
a pioneer in the field of sociology was The Communist Manifesto: Co-written by Marx and Engels in
1847.
In this book, Marx explore the relationship between the bourgeoisie (or the owners of the means of
production who earn profits) and the proletariat (the owners of labor power who earn wages). The
economy plays a significant role in the relationship of these two classes since the workers had to do
labor and hard work but they were given a small amount of money as wages meanwhile the owners got
a lot of profits. The government and the authorities tried to protect the wealthy, and did injustice to the
common people. These inequalities caused the revolution of the workers and then lead to a new social
system. “Marx formulated these into a scientific study of society. Thus, he is considered to be one of the
founding figures of sociology as a discipline.
Marx believed that with a mixture of historical research and scientific methods, society could be
analyzed logically and rationally. This idea, of course, is still followed by sociologists today.” (The
Sociological Theories of Karl Marx, 2015). As my country is one of the developing countries and also a
dictatorship occurred last year, the inequalities in societies are the common problems that all the
people in my country suffer in our everyday lives. The difference in economic status is so large between
the elite people and the common people. So the opportunities for the education of younger generation
are different due to financial problems.
To solve these problems, I think we must try our best to create a new social system in which human
rights are respected and everyone has equal opportunity to health access, education and economics. I
think only this kind of society will be helpful to younger generation and make our country into a
developed one.
