He inspired communism and socialism. He examined capitalism, and how it affected the individuals
working in factories, and owners. The difference in classes. He argued around worker revolutions to
overturn capitalism. He was pro communism (Little, n.d). He wrote the Communist Manifesto with
Friedrich Engels.
Some view him as a revolutionist with his ideas. He had the theory of historical materialism. This
explained how society would provide for the material need. The idea of those institutions and social
relations. Even in the work place and how wages were made, the hostilities between worker and owner
(Wolf,2020). Marx has affected the modern world. We still see leaders using his ideas for governing and
managing. In America, we have seen a lot of capitalism. I might argue, some would see that as a way of
life. The American dream. I think communism has negative connotations. Leading to socialist mentality.
To me, it seems that socialism is linked to some free things for society like school, and health care.
At first glance, it might appeal for everyone to be more equal. These ideas have not seem to hit our
county in the U.S.A. Parts of me think it could be helpful. We were created under a time that was
different even in regards to factory workers. Time have changed. Even our academics and schools were
created under these old guidelines. Work and school life and what's offered to us should change.
We can keep the American dream, and that the pursuit of wealth and happiness can be allotted to
everyone. Some of his ideas, might help us. I think there is this overall feeling and that we have been
taught that communism is bad. I don't personally agree with communism, but some of the ideas Marx
had could bring about good ideas for change.
