BUS375 Employee Training
One of the responsibilities of an organization is to provide training for its employees with
the purpose of enhancing their skills and knowledge. An organization's training budgets often
dictate the training modalities, developers should also consider trainee learning styles, available
technology, training setting, and the practicality of delivering the training to the trainee (Kopp
2014). An effective training program will not only improve performance, productive it has the
ability to boost customer service. This paper will examine e-learning training methods, potential
barriers, how e-learning affected my success at Ashford, and what training can do to prepare
learners.
E-learning As A training Method
E-learning is any technology-enhanced computer-based instruction online courses that
can be accessed anywhere with computers or mobile devices ( Kopp2014 ). The advancement in
technology and the COVID-19 Pandemic have forced schools, universities, and businesses to
work virtually and adopt e-learning as the new norm for developing and training new employees
( Kosal 2020 ). Some of the benefits of utilizing e-learning organizations are now able to train a
large group of employees no matter where they are located. E-learning provides employees with
the flexibility to access training materials at any time, even from the comfort of their homes. E-
learning is a cost-effective way for an organization to train employees without hiring additional
staff or decreasing productivity( Clark 2021).
