What Does the Library Have to Offer?
University of Arizona a Global Campus

The Library has many innovative tools for students at the UCAG online class portal. The
access is easy and has less than a 24-hour turnaround. The central guides I use are Peer Review,
Citing Resources, and Paper review for authenticity. In this paper, I will discuss the differences
and benefits of the tools in the Library.
Experts in their field write a scholarly resource. A knowledgeable resource cites all
material used. Scholarly work is submitted to Waypoint and goes through a process of “peer
review.” During peer review, other experts in the field will review the work for accuracy and
validity. During this review process, scholarly work is written at a more advanced level than
popular resources. In general, academic work is written by experts for experts. A popular
resource is written to inform and educate a broader audience. Popular resources frequently
include commentary, opinions, and personal beliefs. Some news stories go through an editorial
process, and news reporting is not considered scholarly.
Using the student library is beneficial to plan your project and make the most efficient
use of your time and resources. Adequate research is a way to Analyze your sources
carefully, cite them properly in your final report, and narrow your topic and references to use.
