Prominent Leader – Ronald Reagan
In January of 1981 Ronald Raegan was elected to be the 40th president of the United
States. Ronald Ragan is perceived to be a prominent leader. Reagan was loved by many people
and was one of the most fair and consistent presidents to serve. This was driven by his morals
and policies. Reagan ran an eight-year term.
President Reagan outlined what it means to be a transformational leader. “Ronald Reagan
motivated the American people to embrace and support his vision for America by inspiring them
to share in his desire for renewed pride, patriotism, and prosperity.” A transformational leader is
a leader who motivates, organizes, influences, and changes followers to attain structural goals
outside their self-interests Weiss (2015). Ronald Reagan worked positively with the congress
which helped wit economic growth in the US. He was also considerate to the nations needs and
assisted the essential adjustments (Weiss, 2015). President Raegan lead the longest peace
period which had no recession or depression throughout his terms. President Reagan pledged
for lower taxes. He encourages Americans to stand in line and follow his vision.
Ronald Reagan displayed many attributes that caused him to become an efficient leader.
He was a charming person and was able to influence the American public. Raegan also presented
strong morals and remained consistent to these morals even when dealing with mockery.
Although Raegan did switch to the republican party, Raegan expressed his reason for changing
parties was not a choice made by him however the Democrats extreme liberal change were not
aligned with his principles (Olsen & Wehner, 2014). Raegan always presented optimism, and
