1. MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Write down your teaching philosophy. What are your beliefs about teaching and learning.
Include aspects such as: why you want to be a teacher; what subject and age group you
would like to teach and why; how you believe learners learn best (refer to learning styles
found in a modern classroom); how you believe teaching should take place (refer to
teaching strategies and methods used in a modern classroom); why you believe teaching is
a vital profession in South Africa; and how you believe you can make a difference.
First and foremost, I want to be a teacher because I will make a difference in the lives of
children every day. Teaching will allow me to learn from my pupils, coworkers, parents,
and the community as a whole. I am also dedicating myself to a life of learning by
becoming a teacher. As a result, I am also a student. On a regular basis, I will be able to
discover new methods, concepts, and ideologies. My educational perspective may
evolve over time, and that's ok. That just implies I've matured and gained new
knowledge. It will push me to be the best I can be intellectually, creatively, and
emotionally.
I favor the senior and FET phases because they are more reflective of life and their
surroundings. When educating high school students, I believe I can make a significant
difference because I want to show them that their age should never limit their ability to
succeed. These pupils also take education more seriously and can be advised on which
job path will be most beneficial to them.
In terms of how I feel teaching should be done, I feel that each kid is unique and requires
an interesting educational environment in which they may develop holistically:
physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially. It is my goal to establish an
environment where students may reach their best potential while interacting with their
classmates. I will create a secure environment in which students are encouraged to
openly express their ideas and take chances. I also feel that there are four critical factors
that must be included in the learning process.In terms of how I feel teaching should be
done, I feel that each kid is unique and requires an interesting educational environment
in which they may develop holistically: physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially.
It is my goal to establish an environment where students may reach their best potential
while interacting with their classmates. I will create a secure environment in which
students are encouraged to openly express their ideas and take chances. I also feel that
there are four critical factors that must be included in the learning process. They are: the
teacher's role as a mentor; students' access to engaging activities; students' ability to
make choices and allow their curiosity guide their learning; and, finally, students' access
to skills and information in a secure and well-equipped setting.
, Understanding the information absorbed, combining concepts and forming connections
between previously learned knowledge and new knowledge, promoting creative and
critical thinking, and the ability to convey knowledge to new and varied settings are all
elements of deep and long-lasting learning. I think that how students understand and
respond to their experiences has a direct impact on their learning. When people are
comfortable and involved in stimulating activities, they learn more effectively.
Every day, teachers have an influence on kids. They aid in the shaping of students' ideas
and the establishment of their educational foundations in a variety of subjects. If children
did not excel or find pleasure in what they learnt in scientific classes throughout school,
they would not establish objectives for the future to become innovators and innovators
such as engineers. If students are not taught how to build sentences and read novels at
a young age, they will never become writers. Students would never want to be engaged
in politics or become politicians if they didn't grasp the necessity of good governance in
a country, which they would have learned in numerous Social Studies subjects. Every
day, you get to educate pupils valuable life lessons. You lead them through each stage of
learning, from success to failure. No other profession offers such a strong network of
support and mentors to help you succeed.
Students would never want to be engaged in politics or become politicians if they didn't
grasp the necessity of good governance in a country, which they would have learned in
