Look over the table of contents in your textbook. Which topic is the most interesting to you
personally? Why? Which topic looks like it may connect most to your spiritual, emotional, and
professional development?
Hello Class,
This course looks like it is going to be very interesting and informative for me. I am interested in
learning about the relationships and attraction chapter. This is interesting to me because
relationships I know are one of the most important things in our lives. Everyday we are dealing
with our relationships with family, friends, coworkers, bosses, etc. The amount of relationships
we have are important as well as the lack of relationships. As humans we crave human
interactions. “Social support not only helps improve a person’s well-being, it affects the immune
system as well, where the lack of social interaction can negatively lead to first signs of
depression and anxiety. However, we are still not sure about what comes first, depression or
social isolation”, (HEBF, 2012). I believe that this chapter will also connect to my spiritual and
emotional development because building a relationship with my God is something I hope to learn
from this chapter and well as building a relationship with myself since the chapter is about
relationships. Im hoping it has a range of types of relationships that will help with my
development.
