Fort Bend is a rapidly growing county located in southeast Texas and has a population
of 811,688 residents according to the United States Census Bureau (n.d.). Over 27% of the
county’s population is those under the age of 18, with only 11.6% of the population 65 or
older (United States Census Bureau, n.d.). The county is almost evenly distributed as far as

Bureau, n.d.). Racially, Fort Bend County is quite diverse with close to equal percentages of
