A Panther’s Life
Once upon a time, there was a really beautiful black
panther which was pregnant. She was really happy because
she was going to be a mom for first time. One day, it was a
rainy day in the jungle, and she was calm in her cave, but
suddenly its start to fall some thunderbolt so hard against to
the ground. A big tree fell down in the entrance of the cave.
She was really scared because she could not go outside. Three
days passed and she was still in the cave. She was hungry and
exhausted. Until, she heard some noises and at the beginning
she was happy and starting to growl.
Connor was a little boy who was in an English excursion in the Darien Jungle. He was with his
dad who was the one in change in this excursion. When Connor heard those weird noises, he ran to see
what he could do for helping that animal. When he saw a huge tree covering the cave entrance, he
noticed that there was an animal caught inside. So, he went to find his father quickly as he could. When
he arrived to the camp, he scared the excursionists a lot because he looked so crazy. His father Mark
was so worried about it and he was conviced to look for the animal. Then, 10 men were trying to
remove that tree. After 30 minutes, they could set free the animal. However, they did not know it was a
panther, so they were afraid of it. When the panther saw that she could go outside, she walked so
carefully because she had never seen humans and also, she was hungry. So, she tried to attack Connor
because he was small. Fortunately, one of the men had a shot gun. Connor just could see how the
panther ran away. At least this man missed the shot Connor said. After came back to the camp, Mark
scolded his son a lot because of he may lose him by the bite of that panther, so Connor started to cry
because he knew that it is not allow to explore alone in the jungle.
The fearful black panther ran away from there and finally could find a river where she could
drink water and catch some fishes. After she was satisfied, she found a big leafy tree and she decided to
stayed there and make it her new home. It was a raining night and she woke up because she was getting
wet. So, she decided to move to another branch, and she saw a lot of orangutans which were sleeping
so comfortably. A couple of them were so close to her, and there was a little baby which woke up and
started to shake because he was scared of that panther. The panther just smiled, and she settled down
to sleep.
, The next morning some orangutan babies started
touching her, and she woke up obstreperously that made them
run away so scared, but Koko the little baby which saw her at
night, stay there and ask her name, the panther was so surprise
and confuse at the same time because any other animal would
ran away just for seeing a panther. Nevertheless, she answered
him “I am Shanira”. Wow that’s a pretty name and it is unique
too, Koko said. Shanira smiled him and ask him the same
question, and answer her “I am Kokoro but please call me Koko”.
Shanira laughed when she heard this and the little monkey
laughed even though he did not the reason. Koko ask Shanira “Why are you so fat?” You seem like you
are going to explode. When Shanira heard this, stop laughing and she growls so loudly that scared Koko
and he started to cry. Shanira was so ashamed and answered his question saying that she was going to
have a little panther. Koko was so enthusiasm that he started to rub Shanira’s belly.
Immediately, Koko’s parents appeared. They were so mad with their son
because this situation seemed so dangerous and risky. Then, Ren which is Koko’s
father separated Koko from the panther, and his mother Lucy grabbed him hard.
Shanira understood, so she waved to her little friend. Nonetheless, Lucy noticed
that this panther was pregnant, and she stopped her just for asking: Are you Ok?
Because she knew a lot about pregnancy, and the reason was that she helped to
bring babies in this jungle, and she will help her. Shanira was surprise to heard this.
Suddenly, Shanira jumped because of the happiness of get some help with her
pregnancy.
One week later, Shanira was having some problems because her baby
wanted to come out, and Shanira was really nervous because she was
becoming a mom. Finally, after some minutes “Otto” was being welcome, but
Shanira did not wake up after being suffering too much. Lucy was really happy
holding Otto in her hands, but she could not believe that Shanira could not put
up with Otto.
