REASON FOR SHIFTING OF SUGAR INDUSTRY IN SOUTH
*tapering shape of south has tropical climate which is ideal for growing sugar cane
*the black soil , higher temp, good amount of rain or irrigation are best suited compare to north
*sucrose content is higher , crushing season is longer in south
*most of the mills are new and equipped with modern machinery
