Peer-graded Assignment: Problem statement
Phuong Ngoc Nguyen – 6th June 2020
1. Issue: timetable of learning
2. Who: Hightschoolers, college pupils, university students, new learners
3. Cause:
- Not adapting new learning: not only Vietnamese students but also maybe
Asian learners are taught to be automatically learning from academic
institution, books and teachers more than learning by themselves. This
might cause their cognition that they just need to learn what the older teach
them is enough, no more or less. Unfortunately, when you attend to
universities or in real work, everything you have to self-studying. Seminars
just give you advices, the efficient work depends on your action and
knowledge.
- Laziness: this bias of our character has an impact on what we want to do,
what we need to achieve.
- Not organizing schedule in advance: you might feel that preparation
beforehand not giving any benefit. However, it really does affect to your
learning way, how you can manage to arrange time to learn, time to rest or
time to communicate with others.
- Part-time job: university students or highschoolers tend to have same
thinking that if taking part-time job, then they can earn living more
comfortably. It might true in some case, however, I don’t think this will
give you all benefits as you want. If you just focus on earning money, then
you might lose some advantages of learning and repeat-year to study what
you already learnt. This will cause you give up on learning. Therefore, you
should arrange time suitably not only for your health but also your
understanding.
4. Effect:
- Stressful: you will feel overwhelming due to the way of new learning, new
environment, etc.
- Exhausted: After recognizing what is important to do, you will feel tired
due to overload of work that you don’t know how to get over or summarise
all new information
- Giving up easily:
- Feeling being step behind
