A whole class discussion is essential to expand learners understanding on a specific concept. It is a very valuable strategy to implement in your classroom as the teacher is allowing the learners the opportunity to orally share their ideas and discuss their opinions. At school when we would discuss any novel in English, it would be successful when firstly everyone has read the novel, a whole class discussion would take place where we would voice our opinions on the novel, it was successful as there was no right or wrong answer as it was your personal opinion. An unsuccessful class discussion was one where the learners were uninterested in the topic or novel given, this makes the discussion bland uninteresting and therefore unsuccessful.
