• MOA • Nursing Considerations
– thrombolytic – plasminogen – Contraindicated in
activator active bleeding
– Monitor for active bleeding
• Indications (q15m x 1hr; q15-30m x 8hr)
– MI – May cause intracranial
hemorrhage
– Acute ischemic stroke
– Monitor for anaphylaxis
– Occluded Central lines
– Use caution with uncontrolled
hypertension
– Assess neuro status during
therapy
