Case study: Mr. M
When people get older, there are significant physiological and psychological changes.

between cognitive decline and health issues. Alzheimer's disease is a common issue for elderly
adults with a functional cognitive memory impairment. Although there is no treatment for this
condition, we can slow it down in various ways. The current scenario concerns an older guy, Mr.
M, who has Alzheimer's and urinary tract infections (Luís-Ferreira et al., 2018). In this paper,
I will discuss Mr. M.'s case scenario, his cognitive and neurological manifestations, primary and
secondary diagnosis, assessment findings, physical, psychological and emotional effects on Mr.

because of his current state.
Clinical Manifestations
Mr. M is a 70-year-old man who lives in an assisted home. Mr. M suffers from
Alzheimer's disease and is suffering from a urinary tract infection. He does not smoke or drink
alcohol and has limited physical activity due to ambulatory problems and an unstable gait. His
medical history includes high blood pressure, hypercholesterolemia, post-appendectomy status
and post-surgical repair of tibia fracture with no indications or symptoms. Mr. M health seems to
be deteriorating during the last two months and has difficulty remembering his loved ones'
names, his room number and repeating what he has just read. He quickly becomes irritated and
violent, and seems scared and worried throughout these hostile episodes. During this time he
became dependent on a number of everyday chores, which changed since he was able to dress,
wash and feed himself a few of months ago. Therefore, testing was requested in relation to the
problems presented. The objective data currently presented reveals a normal temperature of
