COURSE PROJECT FINAL
Course Project Final
Introduction
This paper is going to discuss my beliefs in care for self, nursing, environment, and
profession, professional identities, and the professional organizations I would like to be involved
in as a registered nurse. Many aspects of nursing are not just hands-on, patient-centered care.
Nurses need to be open-minded and aware of all these aspects that go into being a great nurse.
Caring beliefs, professional identity, and professional organizations are examples of a few
characteristics that are not direct patient contact.

nurse should act and what he or she should and should not do in his or her professional capacity”
(2019). The American Nurses Association realized there needs to be a standard, so the care at

standards of care, but generally, they are the same across the country.

medical errors. A statistic Purdue University Global found in a study was, “Perhaps surprisingly,
68% of the nurses surveyed for the study said they put health, safety, and wellness of their
sh
patients before their own” (2019). The idea of self-care often goes unnoticed by the nurse and
everyone else in the medical field. If a nurse cannot physically and mentally care for themselves,
