Stress Management: A Study on the Factors influencing it, impact,
and ways to relieve stress
Introduction
Most of the people particularly the students are experiencing challenges due to
their big responsibilities and in study matters that most of the time they experience the
feeling of stress that sometimes lead to anxiety and serious medical condition. We
experience pressure because we feel out of control over a specific circumstance. While
we may not generally have the option to take out the factor that is causing the stress in
our lives, it is possible to control our reactions to the stress. Stress management, they
say that it is a good way for us to handle and manage stress to avoid the huge effect of
it such as anxiety, depression, etc. According to APA dictionary of psychology, “Stress
management is the use of specific techniques, strategies, or programs—such as
relaxation training, anticipation of stress reactions, and breathing techniques—
for dealing with stress-inducing situations and the state of being stressed.“ The
process of stress management can be one of the keys to a happy and successful life in
our society. Despite the fact that life gives various requests that can demonstrate hard
to deal with, stress management gives various approaches to oversee uneasiness and
maintain an overall and stable well-being.
Statement of the problem
In this study, the researcher aims to find answers to the following questions:
1. What are the common factors that influence stress management?
2. What are the ways to consider in order to relieve stress?
3. What are the effects and impact of stress to a person dealing with it?

stress on students’ and stress management among students. The main objectives were
to ascertain or identify the extent to which stress affects students’ academic success,
health and general lifestyle, as well as to inquire about the effects of existing stress in
students.
Shi W. (2019). This study provides empirical support for the claim that stress-related
risk perception can influence young adults' information engagement significantly. Health
communication strategists addressing the issue of stress among college students
should consider eliciting risk perception.
