, Technological resources

o Intellectual property

o Accumulated experience and skills

(I couldn’t find a picture that relates to H&M)

3. Describe the purpose of each physical and technological resource of the
previous question.

Physical resources

o Buildings and facilities
 A building has a important role for a business. The buildings can range
from a persons home to a tower block. For H&M the buildings are the
shops. H&M is a big company with good and affordable clothes. If a
customer walks by the shop they see the sign and will surely walk in to see
if there is anything they would like.
o Materials and waste
 Materials are intangible resources that are used to make a specific product
like clothes and bags. That is why it’s used in H&M. If there are not any
materials to make clothes or bags, H&M wouldn’t exist.
o Emergency provision
 It is obligated for companies to draw up policies and provisions of what
should happen in case of emergency. This could mean a training for
employees with clear instructions provided about what to do if something
happens. The building of a business must be provided with a fire alarm, fire
escapes and fire extinguishers. If you walk around a shop of H&M you can
spot signs that show where the emergency exists are and on the ceiling
there are sprinklers.
