List three signs and symptoms from each of the following body systems that occur during
an anaphylactic reaction: Respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and
dermatological.
Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic response with potentially fatal consequences. It might
happen minutes after you've been exposed to anything to which you're intolerant. Anaphylaxis
leads your immune system to produce a torrent of chemicals, which can induce shock (Harding
2019). Airway restriction, difficulty breathing, and wheezing are typical indications and
indications of an adverse response in the respiratory system. The patient may feel chest pains, a
weak pulse, and a rapid decrease in blood pressure in the cardiovascular system. Severe stomach
discomfort, vomiting, and diarrhea are common gastrointestinal symptoms. Additionally, the
patient may feel itchiness, cyanosis, and skin warmth (Mayo Clinic 2019).

but also their relatives. Family-centered care refers to the planning and provision of care through
a productive relationship between healthcare practitioners, patients, and families. Family-
centered care allows nurses to respond to the needs of the patient and family members as
