definition of crime has expanded over time. Crime is dynamic and when behaviors are added or
removed, the definition of crime will change. Laws will also change over time, for example,
homosexuality was considered a crime 100 years ago, but now it is considered legal. This shows how
something that was once considered a crime is not criminal anymore.
