Continuous professional development – This refers to the
tracing and documents of the skills, knowledge and experience
which can help employees improve their skills in the workplace.
This is essential in helping individuals, organisations to keep
skills and knowledge up to date. This allows accredited training
courses such as teachers training day, workshops e.g. learning
how to use a new technology in hospitals and events allow
professionals to use the learning time toward individuals cpd
requirements.
For example, if there are new technology made and given to
hospitals to improve their security of patient’s personal
information also to get accurate data of tests results. There are
many updates in workplaces that employees must be up to
date, so they are able to produce great work ethic and safety
measures at work, so no one is at risk of danger.
Fire training
Cpd in fire training is important because all team members
must know other ways of existing the building without being at
risk. Fire drills are made to ensure all employees in the building
know how to leave a building when it’s in fire in a safe and
quick manner to avoid being trapped inside. This influences
practice because members of staff are more knowledgeable in
what to do in case of a fire, if it has been repeated or updated
often e.g. by alerting others , how to help wheelchair users ,
visually impaired visitors that can help improve the safety of
everyone that comes to the building. This practice will allow
staff members to improve their development in technology use
and learn new techniques that can hugely positively impacted
the health and safety of the staff members and service users.
