SPEECH: SSG PRESIDENT by John Andrei Barican
I did my best and I guess my best was good enough cause here I am, here I am how do you do.
Well, I hope none of you sang it. Good day teachers and fellow students, I am here to deliver my
speech as I won as President of the Supreme Student Government. I think some of us have
noticed the primary issues in our school that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. New programs
and policies will be implemented as I take the office of SSG President. Kindly lend me your ears
as I discuss some of it and by the end of my speech, I will ask 3 students for further suggestions
and opinions about it.
Our school is a place of knowledge and values. But some students have forgotten that values are
way more important than anything else. So, I have come up with an idea to implement new school
policies that will restore the values and attitudes of the students. Students should not vandalize
the walls, chairs, and any other property of the school. Spitting and littering everywhere must be
prohibited. Paying respect and giving a simple greeting to teachers and fellow students must also
be practiced. In fact, those policies are already in effect but the students are not paying serious
attention nor following each. The next thing that I wanted to talk about is the future programs that
will involve every student to improve certain skills and to practice social interaction. Simple
programs such as Tree planting and Mind Enhancing Activities will bring good to every student
as well as for the environment. Incentives shall be given to encourage them to participate in every
program. We will now move on to my next concern which is the funding for future projects. The
projects/programs that I am pertaining to are student’s assistance and new learning materials.
Student’s assistance shall be given to the most deserving ones in order for them to pursue their
studies. New learning materials and equipments should be provided for each teacher and
students to perform certain tasks easily.
Now, I already tackled each policy and program that I wanted to pursue and happen. I am
expecting everyone’s willingness to cooperate in order to execute those effectively. I will ensure
that everyone will benefit from the things mentioned above. On the day that I’ll sworn in as
President, these suggestions will no longer be suggestions, it will instantly become an
implementation. If I can see it, then I can do it, if I just believe it, there’s nothing to it. Thank you
and wishing you all a joyful and glorious day ahead!
