DATA process

The DATA process is a four—step reflection process, made up of description,
analysis, theorising and action (Peters, 1991). You can use it on your own to
reflect on your practice, but while you are a student, we recommend that
you involve a lecturer, Once you become a teacher, you could use a fellow
teacher or colleague to assist you in reflecting on your teaching practice.

Guided reflection protocol

The guided reflection protocol can be used in a similar way to the DATA
process. A protocol, or guide, enables teachers to refine the process of
reflection, alone or with colleagues. The Guided Reflection Protocol is useful
for teachers who choose to reflect alone.

This tool has 5 steps:
