Meeting Times
Class Length: 10 weeks

For every 1 hour in a theory class, it is expected that students complete 2–3 hours of study in preparation for class. For

Course Learning Outcomes
On conclusion of the course, in order to provide nursing care to promote wellness in culturally diverse populations, the
student will be able to:

1. Analyze pathophysiological and pharmacological concepts to identify key problems and to prioritize care for
clients who have complex health care needs.
2. Evaluate assessment data using critical/clinical reasoning skills to make clinical judgments for clients who have
complex multi- system health care needs.
3. Apply integrated client care technologies, information systems, Electronic Health Record (EHR), and
communication devices, to facilitate interprofessional collaboration to advocate for the client’s health
care needs.
4. Evaluate the pharmacologic, nutritional, developmental, and teaching needs of the critically ill client with alterations
in health.
