After completing my degree, I hope to continue to work in the customer service industry. Accounting
will be beneficial in my field of study because it is one of the main components of a business.
Additionally, without this field, a company will not know how to keep track of its income,
expenditures and other financial affairs. Furthermore, as a Rooms Division Director, it is my duty to
keep track of the financial status of the hotel and I can do this by working with the financial reports.
These reports will help me plan on room pricing policies to increase or maximize sales or revenues.

Accounting is the language of business because it talks about the financial literacy of the business. It
allows employees who are in a higher position in the business such as managers or board of directors
to discuss the financial aspect of the business. It is essential for a business to regularly check their
financial statements in order to stay solvent and ensure that the company is operating profitably.
