A movie review: “White chicks”
“White chicks” is your typical old-school, witty, cry from laughter well
made comedy that never gets old.The movie is relaxing with just a little
bit of suspense, the plot is easy to follow, the acting is immaculate and
the dialogues to die for!
The movie is about two immature black brothers Marcus and Kevin
Copeland (Marlon and Shawn Wayans) who are FBI agents that got
fired after a sting gone terribly wrong but are given a second chance to
redeem themselves. The assignment at hand is simple, protect Tiffany
and Brittany Wilson (Anne Dudek and Maitland Ward) two high-society
“bimbo” sisters who seem to be the target of a kidnapping scheme.
After the girls get tiny cuts from a car accident they seem too
embarrassed to attend a Hampton high society event which gives
Marcus and Kevin the perfect opportunity to disguise themselves as the
two girls and attend the event to catch the kidnappers in the act. They
call in experts who provide them with latex masks shaped like the two
girls faces and they attend the party in “drag” fooling in that way
everyone at Hamptons.
Meanwhile, a pro athlete named Latrell (Terry Crews) is the top bidder
at a charity auction for Marcus, who represents his ideal: "A white chick
with a black woman's ass!". This leads to all sorts of desperate
situations in which Marcus tries to keep his secret while Latrell goes into
heat.
All of that while the plot unfolds about who is really behind the
kidnapping, and why.
To conclude despite the controversial dark humour that is definitely not
for everyone and the racial double standards, I think “White Chicks” is a
well made old-school comedy which should be taken lightly and not so
much “at heart” and I would 100% recommend giving it a chance!
