1.1) Commitment to learners:
• The first commitment is, we as teachers must have in mind the desires, needs, and wishes
of our students. Teachers were unable to assist individual students with their own
particular wants and needs as well as their different interest during the pandemic. students
with their needs and wants during the pandemic because each learner has different needs
and wants, as well as interstress. Teachers, for example, was unable to provide verbal
support, advice or assistance to each learner to keep up with their work, if one of their
family members impacted by Covid. Teachers were not permitted to communicate with
students during this time, therefore learners could not get that extra time from their
teachers.
• The curriculum is the second commitment. One of the most significant obligations a
teacher must make for his or her students is the curriculum. The curriculum functions
almost as an exercise for students, assisting them in recognizing where they must go, how
they must get there, and what they must know. During the pandemic, the curriculum was
overlooked because teachers were unable to complete all the curriculum's assignments
and could not sufficiently clarify all the work to the pupils. Learners were unable to gain
new knowledge and were unable to complete many of the tasks assigned to them in the
class.
• The third commitment is variety of unique teaching methods and techniques. Teaching
strategies and techniques are crucial in acquiring knowledge in students; techniques that
are exclusively oriented on the teacher will achieve poor results; instead, techniques that
are student-centered and tailored to suit all learning types will yield better results.
Throughout the pandemic all activities, thoughts were teacher-center, students could not
bring different resources from their homes, they could not engage with other learners, only
the teacher could give them instructions and guidelines.

• The first commitment to the profession is time that is associated with teaching. During the
pandemic teachers were tied down to a certain time to deliver the curriculum to the
learners. Learners only attended school once a week and teachers had to use this day to
condense two weeks of learning material into that day. Teachers used whatsapp to send
work through to the students, but that was not enough to teach the curriculum.
• The second commitment to the profession is connecting to students on an emotional level.
A teacher needs to know their students, know who they are and what they are capable of
doing. During this time teachers could not connect with their students, there was no
interaction between teacher and student. Teachers could not learn the learners better, for
