Hello everyone,
When taking care of our patient it is important to utilize the appropriate resources to save life and
to make health care better. As a nurse/future nurse it is my responsible to care for patients with
the ultimate care they need, in other to bring them to a better health. To reach this goal I must
utilize the appropriate resources, skills, talent and knowledge to provide care to all.
I think evidence from nursing journals affects patient care because this will encourage and teach
nurses to adopt to enhanced nursing practice in providing care. I believe this will reduce health
care risk and improve knowledge in nursing practice.
The role of using the right evidence in professional nursing is by making quality decisions based
on clinical expertise, current and relevant research to provide the best health to all patient.
According to Theart and Smit, academic integrity is described as the prevalence of honesty in all
academic matters. Nursing is considered a highly ethical profession and relies on the moral
integrity of individual practitioners to provide safe nursing care (Theart, C.J. & Smit, I., 2012).
Understanding plagiarism and academic integrity plays a vital role in becoming a professional
nurse because as student it is required for us to give credit to our source. Claiming other people’s
work as ours is plagiarism and a bridge in academic integrity.
