A. Initiate a QI project Lauren has been tasked to create a quality improvement plan for her office. In order to set up her project, Lauren must define what her initiative is going to cover. Some of the things she needs to review is the patient treatment, scheduling and billing for services. The plan should answer how the patients will receive full, quality treatments where the facility can bill completely. Lauren will create a team to brainstorm on strategies and can be trusted to implement the strategy. Proper people to head this team are department heads of nursing, therapy and billing. Lauren will be the project lead on the initiative and manage the plan thorough its project cycle. A.1 Areas of improvement For Lauren to help the facility provide timely and quality of care the patients deserve and need, she will have to develop the scope of the plan and create areas of focus to zero in on. Three areas of opportunity are: 1. The patients need to get their therapy at the scheduled time 2. Therapy sessions need to go the full length scheduled 3.
