1) In the Learning Journal box, copy and paste the most recent version of your CV. How does
your CV compare to the concepts of CV writing outlined in the textbook? Is there anything
missing? Are there any elements that aren't in the right place? Which of the four types of CVs do
you have? (Scannable, Reverse Chronological, Functional, Combination, Targeted) It's critical to
be completely honest with yourself about your CV in order to discover areas where you could
improve. My résumé is included, and I will respond to the questions posed in this Learning
Journal below.
TASK
How does your curriculum vitae stack up?
If we're talking about length, I believe my curriculum is a little long; nevertheless, all of the
important information is on the first page, and the second page is reserved for the most fastidious
human resources who want to double-check complementary and other skills. I'd like to update
my resume and leave the European format in the coming months. I'll ask some of my HR
colleagues if they can help me choose a new format that meets the company standards in Europe.
Is there anything missing?
I don't believe anything is missing; instead of presenting too much information, I believe I
should streamline the content with a new approach, particularly on page two.•
Are there any elements that aren't in the right place?
Our textbook, in my opinion, covers all of the important points. Starting with your personal
information, move on to the position you're interested in, your work experience, education, and a
list of other relevant activities and skills.
Which of the four types of CVs do you have?
I consider my resume to be Reverse Chronological with some points that can be considered
Targeted, because, thanks to suggestions from human resources, I've included targeted keywords
and information that should allow me to advance in the career I want to pursue (become a Senior
Supply Analyst), such as terms and acronyms common to my company or add a very brief
description of the main tasks of each job, which Amazon HR loves and that if not clearly stated,
will cause me to be overlooked. In terms of the reverse chronological order, I've always known
that the most recent events weigh the most, and that there is no such thing as a "best" experience.
