TASK
"In order to move, motivate, or change your audience, persuasion is defined as the act or
process of putting forth or presenting arguments" (McLean, Para. 3, 2010). "It is the
process of persuading people to agree with your point of view, make a commitment, buy a
product or service, or even take action" (Doyle, 2020, Para, 2). It's a natural personality
trait that's incredibly useful and effective for communication strategy, but it's also a skill
that can be learned and improved. When I went windows shopping for a new cell phone,
for example, I was enticed to do something. Despite the fact that the brand was not on my
list or that I had never heard of it, the salesperson persuaded me to purchase it. My phone
has a feature that allowed me to send text messages to other people.
On the other hand, motivation is the force, stimulus, or influence that induces change
(McLean, Para. 5, 2010). It is an individual's internal drive that prompts them to act or
pushes them to complete a task or reach a goal. In their lives, everyone has hobbies,
experiences, relationships, and goals that they find motivating. As a result, we can conclude
that motivation is influenced by physiological, intellectual, cultural, and psychological
aspects, and that it is a complex force influenced by many things, because there is always a
result, an outcome, or even praise to be gained when taking action to do anything
(Heathfield, 2020).
