The emergence and spread of infectious diseases with
pandemic potential occurred throughout human history.

Black death
The black death was a bubonic plague pandemic Occuring in
afro-Eurasia from 1346 – 1353 it is the most fatal pandemic
recorded in human history Causing the death of 75 to 200
million people in Eurasia and north Africa. Bubonic plague is
caused by bacterium Yersinia pastis. But it may also cause
septicaemic or pneumonic plagues. Chief among its symptoms
is painfully swollen lymph glands that form pus-filled boils
called buboes. Sufferers also face fever, headache, chill and
shortness of breath, Hemorrhaging , bloody sputum, vomiting
and delirium and if it got untreated a survival rate of 50%.
