Supervision:
It is originated from the Latin word "Super video" meaning "to oversee" (Adenaike and
Adebanjo, 2000).
Supervision in the education dictionary is defined by the efforts of designated school officials to
provide guidance to teachers and other staff in improving instruction. It also includes teacher
motivation, and professional development and advancement.
Educational supervision is a term used to identify the work duties of administrative staff in
education. Education supervisors ensure that the educational institution operates effectively and
within legal requirements and rules. The purpose of this field is to ensure that teachers and other
faculty members are doing what they are supposed to do and that students are getting the best
education possible.
Importance of Supervision:
Education is the process of living through the continuous reconstruction of

is a continuous process of a structural nature. In the assessment the trainee tries to hide the thing
in which he is bad, in educational supervision they should be able to reveal it easily.
