Instructions: Answer the following items in 3-5 sentences.
As an individual, how can you employ the social theories in the following aspects of life:
1. Embracing cultural diversity (i.e. language, traditions, beliefs)
- In embracing cultural diversity, behavioralism is present. Because when
embracing a new culture, you have to behave like how they behave, you
have to observe their behaviors to know what’s right and wrong. Accepting
differences is appreciated by the other party.
2. Gender Equality
- In gender equality, the state of having equal access to resources and opportunities,
including economic participation and decision-making, regardless of gender; and is
the state of equally valuing different behaviors, goals, and needs. Accepting and
understanding isn’t hard, we are free to choose based on our preferences. We are a
whole society, analyzing and understanding each other will help the society grow.
3. Community interactions and relationships
- When interacting with a community especially when it’s relationships
and close friends that you interact with a lot, you get easily influenced. In
romantic relationships this is where you observe the person, their likes,
their dislikes, what makes them smile, what keeps them going. You write a
memo in your mind and sometimes you mimic their doings because you
are heavily influenced.
